Scouting the Warriors

The Cherokee Warriors will be back at home this Friday night as the work on fine tuning their squad before back to back bye weeks before jumping into region play. The Warriors have dropped two of their last three games by a total of 3 points. Offensively, Cherokee got back over the century mark rushing the ball as a team last week. Christian Irwin leads the team with 227 yards and 2-TDs. Jared Jones has been a great change of pace back and has rushed for 113 yards and 1-TD. Quarterback Tanner Savasir is completing 65% of his passes for 810 yards. The Warriors are averaging 25.5 points per game while the defense is allowing 20.5 points per game.

Scouting the Wolverines

The West Forsyth Wolverines will be looking for their third straight win this week as they visit Tommy Baker Field. The Wolverines new starting quarterback Max Walraven has been effective leading the offense to an average of 29.5 points per game. Walraven is joined in the backfield by Foster Orris who has leads the team in rushing yards and rushing TDs. We also expect for the Wolverines to find ways to get the ball in the hands of Ryder Stewart. Stewart is the most dynamic offensive weapon the Wolverines have. He has a quick first step and is shifty in traffic.

Pundit's Pick

The Warriors have come up on the short end of the stick when it comes to close games this season. This is a more experienced and healthier Warriors team that took one on the chin last season at the hands of the Wolverines. If Cherokee can limit turnovers, we like their chances. Warriors by 3.
