North Cobb vs Cherokee: Cherokee preps to tackle another Goliath

Scouting North Cobb

The North Cobb Warriors rolled to another big victory last Friday as they downed Kennesaw Mountain. The Warriors will be back at home this week looking for another victory to ensure home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs. North Cobb comes into this game averaging 36.3 points per game while the defense is allowing 29 points per game. The Warriors have shown an ability to score in several different ways, but expect for David Ezioumume to be a key part of their offense this week.

Scouting Cherokee

The Cherokee Warriors were unable to cash in on a few opportunities last week and fell to the Walton Raiders. The task does not get any easier this week as the Cherokee is on the road trying to find a way to pick up their first region win of the year. If the Warriors are get to pull an upset on the road, they will need to find a way to slow down the North Cobb ground game. Cherokee has allowed 27.7 points per game this season, while the offense is averaging 19.2.

Pundit's Pick

The North Cobb Warriors must not come into this game complacent as Cherokee has shown that they can move the ball down the field. For Cherokee, they will need to convert those drives into points. We like Cherokee to score a few more points this week, but North Cobb has the edge at Emory-Sewell Stadium. NC by 20.
