River Ridge vs Woodstock: Knights looking to hold upstart Wolverines at bay

Scouting the Knights

The River Ridge Knights will look to turn the page as region play opens on Friday. The Knights were stymied last week against a talented North Atlanta team. Sophomore running back Camden Cox added to his touchdown total with and now has 3 rushing TDs on the season with 487 yards as well. Quarterback Ethan Spector has thrown for 382 yards and 4 TDs. The Knights are averaging 158.7 yards per game on the ground and 95.5 yards per game on the air. As a team, they are scoring 26.3 points per game while the defense is allowing 31.7.

Scouting the Wolverines

The Woodstock Wolverines halted a 25 game losing streak with a big win over Lassiter last Friday. They will now look to win their first region game in 14 tries. While Luke Renninger (11 receptions, 175 yards, 2-TDs) had been a favorite target of quarterback Peyton Lynch earlier in the season, Chase Colina (22 receptions, 273 yards, 2-TDs) ,has come up big over the last couple of games. He went over the century mark in receiving yards last week. Lynch has thrown for 674 yards and 5-TDs. The defense will have to come up with another stellar performance this week as they held the Lassiter just over 100 yards of total offense and three turnovers.

Pudnit's Pick

The Wolverines will need to be on top of their game this week as they will certainly be invading an angry River Ridge squad. We expect for Woodstock to walk with a little swagger when they pull into River Ridge on Thursday. The Knights have to be on guard against complacency. We believe they will bounce back. River Ridge by 20
