Coach Josh Shaw Steps Down as The Cherokee High School Head Football Coach

After 12 seasons as the Head Football Coach at Cherokee, Coach Josh Shaw has resigned, per his X / Twitter account.

Coach Shaw took over the Warriors program in 2012, and led the Warriors to 7 playoff appearances, including five in a row from 2018 to 2022. Shaw is the longest tenured Head Coach in Cherokee High School history, and second in all-time wins with 55.

Coach Shaw had many signature moments in his time at Cherokee, including the 2019 upset win over Westlake in the playoffs, and snapping Cartersville's 63 game winning streak in 2020.
