In a highly anticipated matchup, the Creekview Grizzlies triumphed over the Cambridge Bears with an impressive 41-14 victory. The game showcased the Grizzlies' dominance on the ground to secure a resounding win.

The game started slow, however the Grizzlies got on the board first with a 58-yard touchdown catch by Cal Schubert, courtesy of an accurate pass from Austin Guest, giving them an early 7-0 lead with just 1:28 remaining in the first quarter.

As the second quarter unfolded, the Grizzlies continued to showcase their offensive prowess. Nigel Agyemang powered through the Cambridge defense with a 7-yard touchdown run, the first of his varsity career, extending the lead to 14-0 with 7:05 left in the quarter.

Guest was able to connect with Michael Roach and added to the Grizzlies' lead with a 25-yard touchdown pass, further solidifying their dominance at 21-0 with just 4:28 left in the second quarter. The Cambridge Bears struggled to counter the Grizzlies' offensive onslaught, and Grayson Davis capitalized with a 10-yard touchdown rush, even though the ensuing PAT was missed. The Grizzlies headed into halftime with a commanding 27-7 lead.

The third quarter saw no slowdown in Creekview's momentum. Austin Guest showcased his versatility with a phenomenal 74-yard rush for a touchdown, increasing the Grizzlies' lead to an astonishing 34-7 with 11:09 left in the quarter. Guest's athleticism and vision were clearly on display, leaving the Cambridge defense struggling to contain him all night long.

The Grizzlies continued to dominate as Austin Guest struck again with a 42-yard rush for yet another touchdown, extending the lead to a remarkable 41-7 with 8:48 left in the third quarter. Guest finished with over 280 total yards and was responsible for four touchdowns, two passing and two rushing.

The Cambridge Bears showed their resilience and determination in the fourth quarter. Tyler Blalock's impressive 43-yard touchdown rush brought some consolation to the Bears, but it wasn't enough to close the gap significantly, as Creekview had pulled most of their starters at this point.

The Grizzlies were able to stop a two game losing streak they had against Cambridge, as well as start the season out with a win in front of a massive home crowd. A win like this should have fans excited for the rest of the 2023 season.
